On the short distance nonperturbative corrections in heavy quark expansion

چکیده
We study the corrections due to renormalons to the heavy hadron decay width. The renormalons contribution estimated in terms of finite gluon mass based on the assumption that the gluon mass represents the short distance nonperturbative effects in the standard OPE (and hence in the heavy quark expansion). We found that the corrections are about 10% of the leading decay rate. We point out the implications for the assumption of quarkhadron duality in heavy quark expansion.

Nonperturbative definition of the pole mass and short distance expansion of the heavy quark potential in QCD
We show that the O(Λ) ambiguity in the pole mass can be fixed in a natural way by introducing a properly define nonperturbative V-scheme momentum space coupling αV (q) where the confining contributions have been subtracted out. It is found, relying on a result of Lüscher, that in quenched QCD αV (0)=0.196. The same coupling parametrizes the short distance power corrections to the heavy quark po...

It is based on the author's study of two issues which are important in the description of the inclusive beauty decays given by the heavy quark expansion. • Evaluation of the expectation values of the four-quark operators in the heavy quark expansion, • Study on the validity ...
متن کاملThe Endpoint Region in Radiative Quarkonia Decays
The use of perturbation theory to describe radiative decays of quarkonia is based on the fact that, as long as the velocity v of the heavy quark is small, these decay processes involve two widely separated distance scales: the scale 1/(mv) over which the quark and antiquark bind into the quarkonium and the scale 1/m over which the quark-antiquark pair decays (with m the heavy quark mass). By ex...
متن کاملInclusive semileptonic B decays
In the framework of the Standard Model, the quark sector is characterised by a rich pattern of flavourchanging transitions, described by the CabibboKobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix. The quark transitions B → Xclν and B → Xulν provide a way for determining these CKM matrix elements. This report reviews the experimental measurements used to extract the quark mixing parameters |Vcb| and |Vub| from t...

We calculate nonperturbative O(Λ 2 QCD /m 2 c) corrections to the dilepton invariant mass spectrum and the forward–backward charge asymmetry in B → X s e + e − decay using a heavy quark expansion approach. The method has recently been used to estimate long–distance effects in B → X s γ. We generalize this analysis to the case of nonvanishing photon invariant mass, q 2 = 0, relevant for the rare...
